Traveling on long trips and working can be tedious. I traded off a lighter pack for the HP dv7 with a larger screen, keyboard, fingerprint reader and beats audio system. I must say the fingerprint reader is massively convenient.
This could possibly be my next Windows Phone. It is taughted to be a ‘Day One’ Windows Phone 7 release called the HTC Schubert (probably a code name at least I hope). It will be a tough change from the QWERTY keyboard of my Samsung Jack, but the iPhone I have been using as the private line is helping the [...]
I must say the best airline I have flown to date is Emirates! All levels of service are extraordinary and flying first class on a US carrier seems like flying coach on Emirates. For first class service, no carrier can compare to their onboard suites, lounges and customer service. I was told that A380 flights will be flying now weekly from [...]
I arrived in Bahrain via New York to Dubai Sunday morning local time. I have been busy with getting organized and some heritage expereiences for our business here. Its truly a fascinating culture of the Gulf. Everynight thus far I have been able to catch the sunset which is a relief when it tops out at 115F!
Congratulations to Spain and adidas in being World Champions. I love the quality marketing that goes on around the World Cup (and Euro). adidas already had Spanish kits made with the Gold Star on them if they won and to make sure they are were celebrating in their adidas kits for the celebration! Emirates did a great job with the [...]
Happy 4th of July to everyone and especially those who have served this country in any capacity. In the land of opportunity, someone who spends part or all of their life in the service of our coutry deserves the appreciation. Everyone else enjoy the day.
As predicted in my April 15, 2010 post, the Microsoft KIN has died an epic failure! There is speculation that only 400 units sold in the USA! Engadget as confirmed the demise of KIN and its $400M budget (that’s $1M per KIN)! I never found the value in the device as it was way too narrow of a space and [...]
While travelling on business in OH and meeting with Football Ventures’ Gary Blumberg we dropped in to see the Columbus Crew play DC United. The Crew won 2-0 late in the match.
I have been out of pocket for a while, but in observation of pre World Cup hype, we should remember one of our own who represented our country well only to be politically murdered on his return to Haiti.

This weekend I learned of the unexpected passing of my youth club’s top coach (trainer), Dieter Beckmann. Dieter made a monumental impact on not only soccer in the Charleston area and the state of South Carolina, but also most importantly on a generation of players at Charlestowne Soccer Club that went on the play at top colleges at a time [...]
I keep wondering where the ‘A’ game is from Microsoft? They totally own the desktop and server markets; are competitive in gaming; but getting their butts kicked on mobile and content (especially apps) with Apple; and now possibly with entertainment! One of my favorite Microsoft products is media center. However, they have left some gaps like no Zune integratin in media center! Why [...]
