My boyhood team is FC Bayern Munchen so I grew up getting tapes from Germany, cutting grass and sending them to California to get converted from PAL to NTSC so I could watch football. My former youth coach was a former German professional player too so it all synced together nicely. So, it was good to see some classic players in this video by Coke Zero celebrating 50 years of one of Europe’s best leagues.

A great film put together by AC Milan on the culture created to develop players from the initial stage of elite youth (age 10+) to the Senior team. The goal for the players is to build their way up to the Milanello training center where they will train around and with the Senior team on a regular basis. Having spent a large part of EURO 2000 around the Azzurri and at Casa Azzurri I know first hand the detail in thought and preparation that goes into what the Italians do regardless of how it may appear on the surface and #thefuture demonstrates this. Any aspiring footballers should watch this and work to be in this type of environment.
